The Role
Purchase Ledger Duties Include-
-Log and track incoming invoices and sub-contractor claims
-Matching, checking and coding of invoices and credit notes
-Liaise with the commercial department and produce payment certificates for sub-contractors applications for payment
-Data entry into Sage 200
-Set up new supplier accounts and maintain existing account details
-Supplier statement reconciliations
-Monitor and follow up on invoices/claims in query
-Filing invoices
Other duties include-
-Process client payments- reservation fees, client extras
-Process client extras onto job sheets for the Commercial department
-Update client extra reports for actual costs
-Co-ordinate monthly staff mileage claims
-Collect and store drivers’ information annually
-Provide new site staff with new starter forms and prepare site workers contracts
-Check recorded meter reads to assess utility bills
-General office duties; answering telephone calls, dealing with post, scanning and filing of financial documents
-Other ad-hoc duties
Skills & Qualifications
-Previous experience in a finance function
-Use of excel and Sage (Desirable but not essential)
